It's Time to Break Up With Your Diet

health & nutrition

I'm gonna be blunt with you:

You're in an unhealthy relationship.

All this back and forth.
The all in one minute then out the next.
The love/hate.
The guilt.
The regret.

...It's gotta stop.

It's not sustainable. It's not healthy.

 It's not what you deserve.

The Situation

(in a less Jersey Shore way than that sounds)

 Think about it:

How much time and energy do you put into your unhealthy relationship with food?

"Ugh, donuts in the workroom. Don't eat them. DO NOT EAT THEM. You've been so good all week, don't blow this."

"Well, I have been so good all week. I can reward myself with one. I'll just skip lunch and that'll make up for it."

"Ugh, I shouldn't have eaten that donut. I have no willpower. Now I need to start all over again. Whelp, I've already blown it, so I may as well have another donut. I'll try again next week."

"Ooof, now I'm supposed to look cute tonight to go out?! I feel like crap. I had two donuts today! How the hell am I supposed to feel hot in that dress?! That's it, next week, no cheating. 100% clean eating. This time for real.

<Repeat scene next week>

If that hits a little too close to home, you're not alone.

Unlike the Jersey Shore, however, there is a drama-free solution to this situation.

The Solution

My question is this:

Is this how you want to go through the rest of your life?

Because I promise you, unchecked, you will.

Fortunately, just like that ex you look back on and think "What was I thinking?!" once you shine the light of awareness on this unhealthy relationship, there's no unseeing it.

The answer, the key, the Prince (or Princess) Charming of this new life, comes from getting educated.

Once you understand how food literally fuels your body, you can begin to make smart choices for your personal goals.

That means no more living off willpower.

No more cutting out entire food groups.

No more "starting over" after eating "bad food."

It means eating guilt-free by making informed choices.

Not relying on a person or company to tell you what to eat or when.

Living with abundant energy and a better mood consistently.

In short, being a badass all the damn time.

They say step one is admitting you have a problem. In our case, step one is seeing the unhealthy relationship you've been stuck in your entire life and deciding it's time for a change.

You can take the first step by downloading a free app like My Fitness Pal and simply tracking your food for a week. This shines the light of awareness on what's really going on and gives you a solid foundation on which to build.

It's time to empower yourself.

It's time to take control of your health.

It's time to break up with your unhealthy relationship with food.
